Kosher Salt is a non-iodized coarse-grained salt from salt crystals usually in pyramidal or flat in structure. It is used in Koshering (removing out blood from meats before preparing to cook) process mainly in Judaism dietary laws. It is widely used for cooking, seasoning and other purposes. Chefs prefer kosher salt over table salt or sea salt because it is iodine-free. After reading Koshar Salt and its importance article and from my personal experience, I can confidently say that Iodine does not taste very good. If you are looking to buy salts for the Food business, Kosher salt is your go-to salt, not only because it is Iodine free but also for its variety in uses.
